Quantity of paint

I will be using Base-coat / Clear-coat. I understand that there are paint jobs and then there are paint jobs...but considering I want basic acceptable coverage...how much primer does it take to prime the outside of an RV12? Once primed, how much base coat will it take? Thanks in advance.

RV-10

I'm 2/3rds of the way through painting my RV-10. Looks like it will take about 4 gallons not including about 1/2 gallon I used practicing and learning.

You might be able to get away with 3 gallons on the smaller 12.
