QB7A gear mount problem

I am installing the gear mounts in my RV7A QB. Once in place, the holes don,t all line up perfect. I made sure to get the carry through bolt holes lined up but the two 1/4 bolt holes on one of the arms would not line up no matter what I did. I presume this is a slight error in the QB or the welded gear mount may have pulled in the jigging welding process. I oversized the two holes on the mount, not the carry through, for these two bolts by about 3/64. I believe this will solve the problem and it fits very tightly still. Any comments on the retrofit??

I had a similar issue on my right side. I just couldn't get the outer most holes on the bottom to line up, so Van's said to open them up (on the weldment) just enough to make it fit. My left side fit perfectly.
