Hey Kyle, I have pitched the prop to produce book numbers. It works out to be in the 4900 rpm static range. I have found that the book numbers are very good all-around performance goals. I re-pitch in spring and fall. After take-off and obstacle clearance I immediately trim for a wot of 5050 rpm. I'll be contacting you soon on Sky Bryce.

By the book

Actually, by all the early discussions. 4950 ground gives about 5050 in climb. 5200 rpm gives me 100-112 KTAS, better than the AA-1 Yankee I had for 15 years and MUCH better takeoff and climb performance. I'm never in a hurry to go anywhere (the faster I fly, the less time I get to fly!) and really, REALLY like coming unstuck in 500-600 feet and climbing at 1000 fpm after all those years in the Yankee.
