I am finishing up my 7 tail now, all parts are alodined , the substructure and inside of skins are epoxy primed. Looking for some thoughts on priming the outside of the finished assemblies. I know the epoxy primer would have to be lightly scuffed before final painting but Im thinking that having the parts primered would protect the alodine from scratches and pro bably coat areas not accessible after final assembly. Any downside for doing this? I am right by the salt water so Im trying to take all precautions.
