prime or paint seatbacks?

I'm getting close to being ready to rivet my seatbacks. Do a lot of people leave these unprimed and unpainted, or do they prime and then paint? Are they doing this all before the rivet together, or are they just painting it after it's been riveted together?

Thanks

Vince,
To save a little weight and work, I did not prime or paint any of the easily removable interior parts such as seat backs, floor panels, various covers and the baggage compartment rear bulkhead. Most of these items have to be removed for the yearly maintenance when they can be inspected for any signs of corrosion. If I ever do find corrosion I will then prime them as needed. From an aesthetics point of view, I have a full interior from Flightline so the upholstery hides all the bare surfaces. If my plane was in a more corrosive type of environment then I would have primed these parts.
