Pre-Punched Wing Kits

When did Van's start shipping completely pre-punched wing kits? I posted a 'want to buy' add on the classified threads and have received a few offers of some older kits, some still in the box.

For those who have experience building both the pre-punched and non pre-punched, is going back to a non pre-punched kit worth a discount on the new kit price? Where do you think the price break would be?

I just bought aq started kit and the fuselage was a prepunch kit that was purchased in 2003 but the rest of the kit was bought in 2001 without prepunched holes. Hope that helps
