I want to support my 9A for an extended round of maintenance. I will want to remove the gear and estimate that I will need to lift the aircraft about 8 inches above it's normal level to be able to get them out.
What I was think of was to build a box 35 inches wide and 39 inches long with some carpet covering it. The forward side of the box would go under the spar carry through and the aft end would be under the next bulkhead back.
Will this balance the plane to far back? IE still nose heavy.
Any other suggestions for supporting the plane for gear removal?
