Piano Hinge

Hate to ask a stupid question, but you know the saying. In my QB kit came two honkin six foot long piano hinges. OK, I've looked everywhere but can't figure out what they're for? Please don't look down on me for asking, IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!
 
I'm not a QB builder so I don't speak from direct experience, but here's where you use a lot of hinge:

seatback-to-floorpan attachments
gear leg fairings
cowl
 
The HS trim tab also uses a piano hinge. So does the cowl but I think it uses a larger, wider hinge.
