It is with a very heavy heart that I send this email. Many of you may remember Carlos from when he worked for GRT Avionics. He helped many of us here on VAF set up our panels and was always there to answer our questions.
Carlos has been battling t-cell cutaneous lymphoma for the last two years. He died yesterday of complications related to it. He was at home with his family.
Carlos and I met at a Kalamazoo, MI Chapter EAA 221 meeting back in the late 90's. He lent a hand to many of us in the chapter over the years. He was a friend to anyone he met.
His viewing will be this Friday, November 27th from 1-4 and 5-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI
The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Berean Baptist Church, 7813 S 12th St, Portage, MI 49024.
Carlos and his wife, Marcy, have two wonderful children, Alexander and Leah. Alexander just started college and Leah is a sophomore in high school. Memorial donations may be made for the children's college education. Carlos' favorite charity was www.toeverytribe.org. Memorials may also be directed there.
Rest in peace dear friend.
