PAR100EX can't hear COMM2 transmission

Hi all,

I have had an interesting issue pop up on my PAR100EX.

I have a GTN650 wired as Comm 1 and the internal PAR100EX radio as COMM 2.

Today when I switched across for a transmission, I could NOT hear mysef transmit. The transmission was OK, I have a radio check completed, however I needed to crank it WAY up on the volume to hear my transmission.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so what was the solution, screw-up?

Andrew, are you saying that there is no sidetone, no feedback in your headset? If so, I have the same problem with my PAR100EX, intermittently. As you note, it seems to transmit normally, so I've treated it as a minor nuisance. Haven't been able to figure out why it comes and goes.

No sidetone...

Not entirely sure, It was only yesterday that it because apparent.

I turned up the volume to 8/10ths and it was OK. It was as if there was a MUTE being applied to the volume, but I checked the MUTE setting and it was fine.

So bit befuddled.

What problem solving have you gone through to rectify the sidetone issue?
