Like Christmas yesterday with first real arrival of Dynon electronics from Stein. I'd like some input about mounting various components on the back side of the main/center panel.
Here you can see the back side with the Dynon picture planner in the center (it would obviously face to the front when complete) with the EMS module, the back up battery, and a paper transponder. Barely visible is the Sharpie markings for the SL30 and intercom at the very bottom.
I'm thinking of putting in countersunk screws from the front, secure with a nut, then install each Dynon component on top of the first nut, and lock nut to hold it down. I'm covering my panel with vinyl that should hide the head of the flush screws.
So far, I only have the Skyview screen, radio and intercom on main/center panel. The side panels have back up AS/Alt, ELT, CO monitor, vent, and some switches.
