Painting Canopy Latch Parts

My question relates to the canopy latch parts (C-1215 latch handle stop, C-1205 latch block, F-1231 latch plate, and C-1214 latch block). Since these parts slide against each other, shoud I leave these parts unpainted when I paint the roll bar assembly?

There is no harm in painting the aluminum parts- it will eventually rub off where they slide against other but it will still look better if they are painted given that the majority of the surface of the parts do not slide against any other part (the forward and aft face). I did not paint any of the plastic blocks- I think you would find it very difficult to get paint to adhere. In addition, given that my roll bar is light gray and the plastic is white, it just blends in!
