Considering that all Rotax engines are run for approximately an hour at the factory before being shipped, why is it that the trigger coil gaps need to be set? All five of my gaps (including the rev counter coil) are considerably less than 0.012 inches.
Exactly! I left mine the way that they were. The less the gap, the better it
works, as long as parts don't hit each other. My engine has over 300 hours.
