Hey Folks

I wanted to start a thread about additional home made tools one might need for this section.

These are some thoughts from NORCAL DUDE.

Make some sacrificial hardware by grinding down the bolt to a point so you can insert it into the bracket and bearing which will not be perfectly aligned until the bolt is seated. Forceps are good for holding these tapered bolts (only taper the nose – not the length of the bolt obviously – longer bolts might work better). Allen wrenches ground down come in handy as well. If you don’t put something in both brackets/bearings before you slide your skinny bolt in, one side will pop out of the bracket while you are trying to line up the bolt on the other side. A skinny allen wrench prevents this. All done? Everything perfect! Put in some new hardware with some LPS2 lubricant.
