I volunteered to fly one of the kids our EAA chapter is sponsoring to the Air Academy. Flew him over yesterday morning in perfect weather.
Here are a few pictures from the trip.
The first is over mid Michigan - you can see the lake in the distance
The second is just starting to cross the lake at 8500' MSL - you can see to the other side.
The third is on the ramp at Orion. My plane is the blue/white 7A. Interesting that the only other visiting plane is also an RV!

This is the first time I've been to OSH not during AirVenture. Got to actually talk to the tower!
Very strange to see that airport so empty, but it was still a fairly busy place, lots of planes doing approaches and a few doing pattern work.
The folks at Orion were super, highly recommended if you ever go there.
I'll be going back this Saturday to bring him back.
