Is there any backside to going from Finish Kit to Powerplant Kit and THEN to Avionics? I want to avoid avionics until I can be sure of a Skyview if possible, but still have to work around lead times of those two kits. Opinions anyo0ne?

Avionics last

That is the way I built mine, engine first, avionics last. The problem I remember is that the engine wires that pass though the hole in firewall took up too much room. When installing the GPS antenna from the avionics kit, I had to pull all of the engine wires out of the firewall grommet in order to get the GPS-cable-end connector through the firewall. If you delay installing the engine wires, there should not be a problem.
I wonder how that rubber grommet in the firewall passed ASTM standards?
