I finished the vertical stabilizer today. It definitely was a learning curve, but also a confidence builder. Very happy with how it turned out. You really learn to appreciate the early aviation pioneers who built a plane with nothing other then a vision to lead them.

One step at a time is what gets it done.
I was just down there last week.
I rented a hangar @pgd for my -10. It looks like a lot of GA activity at your airport.
 
It goes by pretty quickly if you follow one basic rule. Try to accomplish something every day. It can be as little as buying a tool you need for the next shop day...but if you accomplish something every day, you will find that you build momentum. That momentum keeps you moving instead of standing in the shop staring at plans.
