Oil pressure fitting converter

Hi

I am slowly replacing some old steam gauges on my RV6 with newer electronic ones and have hit a snag with the oil pressure. The original builder has used an oil pressure gauge that goes direct into the back of the instrument. I have an extension from the engine to a fitting on the firewall then a small pipe to the instrument. I have a new pressure sender with a male 1/8" NPT fitting that does not fit the female end on the extension. it has AN818-3D marked on it which I believe has a 3/8-24 UNF thread. I've looked for a converter with no luck. I've even contacted a specialist who was going to make me one but now says its not possible??

I cannot get to the fitting on the engine without taking the engine out and I really don't want to do that (again).

So, before I look for someone else to make me one does anybody know of a supplier who has such a converter available? 1/8" NPT female to 3/8-24 UNF male.

thanks

Thanks Tom, that is fantastic. That extra info turned up lots of suppliers.

The 'professionals' advised me that they could not make one because it would not be strong enough.

thanks for your help
