Oil Coolers on 0235 powered RV-3

Is a oil cooler necessary on 0235 powered RV3's. If I install a cooler
I am not sure how it will hook-up. My engine has a ECI angled oil filter
adapter which I installed to replace the screen housing. Is a vernitherm
always required when a Oil Cooler is installed. Any other general advice
on oil coolers welcomed.

Thanks

0235 L2c

I had a cooler installed on a Long EZ that had a 0235 L2C . Best I remember it had couple of large plugs on the rear of the accessory case where the in/out oil hoses were connected. It seemed to work fine. It also had a vernotherm in the area where the oil screen cover was located. That model may have been factory set up to have an oil cooler It also had a mech fuel pump,. It came off a AA1C.

Thanks for the replies. After looking at the manual a L2C case would be what I need. I am going to call next week to check on what a used accessory
case would cost. Both my 0235 accessory cases are older with no tap for
oil cooler or fuel pump mounting.
