Oil canning on *ailerons*, anyone?

I know everyone (me too) has oil canning on some of their tail surfaces, but what about the ailerons? Van's said they had not heard of any, but I've got some.

I wonder if it is due to my conservative countersinking on the spar, to avoid enlarging the holes.

I have some oil canning on at least one of my flaps or ailerons. I can't remember which.

Paul I've had it on both ailerons from time to time at certain speeds (not both at the same time.) It seems to come and go, you can look out and see it moving a little. My 6 is over 10 years old and close to 500 hours and I've look at the ailerons hundreds of times and there is no obvious problems. No cracks at the rivet heads or anywhere else. It also flys straight and level.. go figure.

I checked mine today and found no oil can on my ailerons.

Kelly told me you may need a motivation ride. How about Friday, PAO?
