O-ring in gascolator

We are preparing the RV 12 for first flight. We've done the taxi tests and bedded the brakes.

Today we checked the gascolator and found what looks like a tiny blue o-ring!
It is a very soft plastic, mid-blue, about 7mm or 0.27" in diameter.

Can anyone suggest where it might have come from? We have the standard Vans set up including a Moeller fuel gauge.

Thanks
Shirley

Perhaps from the drain valve? I think that uses one about that size, if you mean 7mm OD.

Sounds like it could be from the quick drain, but how would it get up into the gascolator? Have you ever had the bowl off the gascolator before?

It could have been dropped in at the gascolator factory? That seems to be a likely scenario, they would have a bunch of those rings at the assembly station.
