Nose Wheel Washer Lapping

Has anyone else lapped/sanded the -10 cupped nose wheel washers? i.e. the silver ring shown in the photo below.

The thought being that the reason the torque loosens up after the first few hours is that these washer wear together a bit and let up the pressure. Hopefully a little wet sanding on the back-rivet plate will minimize this loosening effect.

Just curious if anyone else has done this?

Yep, did in on initial install in 1999 or so. I documented it somewhere in these archives... I've never had to adjust mine, so the concept seems to work.
