nose wheel fairing hinge pin

Having issues with the clamp that holds the nose wheel fairing hinge pin at the bottom. The clamp screw is interfering with the top of the nose wheel pant. Just repainted the fairing and nose wheel and can't figure out why all of sudden I am having this interference. Is there a different kind of clamp with a low profile screw mechanism or did anyone come up with a better idea to secure the hinge pin?

Do you have the worm drive part of the clamp to the rear? No interference this way with the wheel pant on my -9A.

A quality zip tie will work and there is always safety wire
