Hey all,
I had my 6a painted last year and had a few things added to the exterior to update it. One of those items was a nose gear intersecting fairing.
The mechanic installed it to the bottom cowl with 4 screws and closed the seam behind the leg with 2 screws.
Within the last 50 hours of flying I am seeing cracking at the seam screws and my nose gear leg fairing is cracking at the front downwards.
I stop drilled the leg fairing and it looks as if that solved that issue but I don't know how or if I can stop the intersecting fairing from cracking. It's always going to be an area of flex (taxi, landing etc.)
Has anyone else had this problem and have a solution?
Thanks,
DMat
