New Section 46 (Engine Installation)

"46-01 REV 4: Figure updated to depict a Rotax engine equipped with 912iS cylinders."

More importantly, why have all the diagrams been updated showing 912iS cylinders?

Is that how the new engines are coming?

Seems strange that Rotax would build 912 ULS engines with injector-ready cylinders unless something else was in the works.

Just a manufacturing convenience?

By my understanding... Yes.

They standardized to manufacture only one cyl head part #.
The primary difference as far as RV-12 builders are concerned, is the different location for the CHT sensor. I don't think the port for the injector is drilled.

What's going on is just business common sense: Rotax prepares to phase out the carburated 912 line which will streamline their manufacturing and make their business more profitable.
