New Nuts?

I've just removed my HS and my elevators for the n-th time. When it comes to the "final" install, should I use new nuts? The real question is, does the whitish nylon insert wear and lose some ability to prevent backing out at a future date? I do plan on painting a little mark (special paint) on the nut as a quick check for movement. Thanks!

Nyloc nuts may be reused as long as they cannot be turned by hand.

Don't use nyloc nuts...

.....but use castellated nuts or store bought cheapies for fitments then use new nylocs for final installation.

Hate to be a party pooper, but I would not have store bought cheapies in the place. You will only forget one once..................

Use the Nyloc, and if its only on and off once fine, if its getting a bit sad install a new one.

They are a lot cheaper than the alternative!
