I have two Lycoming O-540 A1D5 engines for sale.

Are these not the type and size engines that RV-10 builders are looking for?

Thanks for the Input

Following is text from Van's webstore engine page:
Engines that are available: (I)O-320-D1A 160hp, O-360-A1A 180hp, IO-360-M1B 180hp, IO-360-A1B6 200hp, the O-540-A4D5 250hp, and the IO-540-D4A5 260hp."

According to Lycoming, the difference between a -A1D5 and the -A4D5 that Van's recommends is counterweights: "Same as -A1D5 but with more effective counterweights for use with Hartzell "compact" propeller".

The counterweight configuration can easily be at overhaul time, but I don't think that you can do it without splitting the case.
