I picked up a Nav 121 at a surplus joint for a few bucks. Its missing the knobs but it otherwise looks really clean.
I didn't really expect it to work and I'm not even sure if its worth it to have VOR in my plane but what the heck.
Hooked it up and just got white noise. I tried using a 118 mhz signal generator but no joy.
Narco will fix it (and they're required to upgrade it as well) for about $500.
Don't think I want to spend that much on it.
I'm pretty sure the problem is in the front end. Being familiar with things RF
I think I might be able to fix it if I had a schematic.
Does anyone know where I might find a schematic for this little beast?
Or, maybe somebody out there can fix it for a reasonable fee?
