Mounting VA-153 to governor

I have a Jihostroj P-920-032A. My VA-153 governor cable bracket mounting holes do not exactly align with screw holes in governor. I’m thinking a slight enlargement of the bracket holes would be an acceptable fix. Comments, ideas please. Thanks

Define "slight". If you're enlarging the diameters 1/32", which is essentially taking the powder coating off, I agree, you should be fine. You may be able to get away with a little more than that.

Put some primer or paint on the bare steel to keep it from rusting. That bracket ain't easy to get to when it's mounted.

Thanks for the advice. 1/32" should be enough and it does look as if the powder coat is responsible for the alignment issue.
