Montreal and Quebec City

I May be doing a last minute visit to Montreal and Quebec City next month. Flying to Plattsburgh NY and then road tripping from there. Any recommendations regarding what areas in the cities to visit and stay and any points of interest would be appreciated. Thanks…..
