An interesting article on this engine as an alternative to Rotax is covered in the new issue of Sport Aviation. Worth reading and the Italian design sounds like a real contender for consideration for Light Sport. Since it is designed for aircraft it avoids the rather contentious questions surrounding auto engine conversions vs. an engine designed for aircraft. Rotax is a fine engine IMHO and I am very happy with it in my RV12, but I also feel Rotax needs some serious competition to generate the obvious benefits good competition usually provides the consumers.

Very nice engine with about the same pricetag as the Rotax. But also this engine has to be paid in euros. Guess next week will be an important week for the dollar/euro rate.
