Manual trip inoperative when autopilot has power

Manual pitch trim will not work when Garmin autopilot has power and not engaged. When I pull the autopilot CB the trim works normally. Any ideas? Is there a programing issue? Bad servo? Wiring is correct. Roll servo seems to work fine.
