Main gear question

What is the difference between the 6 and 6A main gear strut? Anyone have specifics, i.e. measurements etc.

Thanks
Jeff

FWIW, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the 6 strut is longer than the 6A strut. I would be surprised if their geometry is the same, and the mounting hole may be drilled in a different location as well. I don't have dimensions, but I think it's safe to say they are not interchangeable.

DWG 45 shows the differences

-6A strut is 43" long with a 46 degree angle at the wheel axle bend.
-6 strut is 48" with a 53 degree angle at the wheel axle bend.
The -6A strut is 9.75 inches from top down to 2nd race ( bottom of gear weldment).
The -6 strut is 10.25 inches from top down to 2nd race.
Both are 1.375 inch diameter to start with.
Check out dwg 45.

Thanks Wendell that's what I needed. i do not have a set of plans but I do have an airplanes worth of parts that I salvaged to use on another project!
