How deep is the oil supply port for a C/S prop drilled?

From the looks of the separated prop/crankshaft, it appears that it might have been a factor.

These guys were very lucky the engine didn't run away and possibly cause a fire or something.

Great piloting. I'm sure it would have been very easy to panic or get distracted.

This was a 172. Fixed pitch prop w/ solid crank (I believe...unless something has changed recently).
