Lightweight baggage tiedown

These won't survive a 10G deceleration but that's not what I wanted anyway, just a lightweight, unobtrusive baggage tiedown system that would keep cargo from shifting around in flight.

I got these D ring clips from strapworks.com, really cheap and weigh only 10 grams apiece. Combined with some 1" nylon webbing and clasps, it should function okay.

I static tested these with 50 lbs of weight which was all I had handy and then dropped it from a foot or so to see what would happen. The D ring held but separated slightly so four of them will accomplish what I need. It could be beefed up by touch welding the D ring ends together if so desired.

lightweight option

Nice, that is a good lightweight option.
I bought a set of those for my 10 but then decided to use adel clamps instead.
Not as low profile but a bit stronger and still lightweight.
Easy to hook up a bungee cord or bungee net.
