My insurance company now requires two pilots when you turn 86 years old. 1000 hrs RV-8, 4000 hrs tail wheel. ATP and A&P. I don't want to fly without liability and I am not ready to quit.

You don’t say where you are (Are you looking for a ‘partner’?) nor whom your insurance is currently with. You might ask AVEMCO, they often will quote when others won’t (but for a significant premium).

A 90-year-old pilot I know uses Avemco. $ 670 a year for a RV-7.

Also, you did not say if you ever carry passengers, or maybe family members only (someone who would never sue you). Liability excluding passengers is much cheaper than including passengers.
