Can someone with wings already fitted and 3/8" fuel line fitted to float type fuel sender tell me the distance from the fuselage to the end of the flared tubing.

I am afrain my most recent pass at completing this line might be a little bit short.

I am getting pretty good at this what with all the scrap tubing I have generated so far!!

No problem to make another one but I want to do it before I forget how!!

Thanks,

3 1/4" should do it

we just measured this in order to fit the wing when we put it back on. Bear in mind you will probably have 1/2" of slack in/out of the fuselage to play with.

Or you can just use a bulkhead AN fitting... that way you can make that fuel line when you are ready. I have a 90 deg bulkhead fitting there.

Fuel line length out of fuse for RV-9A

I cut mine to about 2 1/2". Once the wings were fitted, it was no trouble to cut a little bit off the fit. I was able to push the fuel line in about 3/4" to make room to cut it to the proper length with a mini-hacksaw.
