LED vs Xeon vs Incadecent - Interesting Video

Phil,

That comparison was done with one of our wide angle lens Sunspots. We were unaware that they were going to do that sort of a comparison, or we would have provided our narrow angle lens version to them. We have recently sent a narrow angle version of Sunspot to Paul at Avweb/Aviation Consumer and I believe they are going to redo the comparison in the near future.

They are basically comparing an LED taxi light with landing lights. The narrow beam version is more suitable for use as a landing light. The Sunspot puts out more lumens than the GE4509.

By the way, if you want to see both lens version of the Sunspot at Sun N Fun, go to the Aviat exhibit. Their Husky has 4 Sunspots in it. 2 wide angle and 2 narrow angle (taxi and landing). Aviat has selected the Sunspot as their new standard lights for the Husky since all 4 of them pull the same current as just one GE4509, and they put out more total light.
