leading edge to rib fit

Anyone have issue with the Hs706 & 707 where the nose of the rib ends and the leading edge skin meet. I am seeing a high spot right where the rib stops and the skin curves to the leading edge. It's as if the rib is too tall to fit into the curvature of the skin..should the ribs be shortened to allow the skin relief. The leading edge looks good except for the bumps right where the rib nose ends.

I have seen this on the wing leading edge and likely a similar issue you are having with the HS. If not already riveted, remove the rib and confirm you have fluted enough so the rib lays completely flat on a table, flange side up. This will ensure the prepunched holes align with the skin and prevent any pulling that could result in a bulge. Also, double check the rib flanges are bent 90 degrees. This would also result in a bulge. Second, after confirming flute and bends are good, take end to a scotchbrite wheel and slightly round down the end of the rib's nose and any other area that appears to have a sharp area. Last result if none of this works, gently bend the nose of the rib down enough to remove bulge, but still makes contact with skin. Trial and error process...

Good luck!
