This question is for anyone who knows anything about mounting a Duckworks style landing light in the wings.
Is there a good reason to NOT mount the landing light bracket in FRONT of the forward-most rib hole? The bracket I have will easily mount in front of the forward rib hole with about 1/2-inch above and below to allow any up/down adjustment of the light.
I'm thinking that the only reason to mount it further back is so the plastic lense will have more room to be wedged in the hole. I'd hate to mount it further forward and have to re-drill the bracket holes because the lense can't get put in.
Does mounting the light further back in the hole limit the light pattern?
