KX-125 Display

I'm working on an KX-125 installation in a RV8A. The problem is that the display is unreadable during the day when the display is shaded. Works fine in full sun or at night or when installed in another aircraft.

I suspect the diming setup is wrong. I wil confirm that the dim pins are wired correctly to the install manual (note 8 on interconnect diagram).

Any other ideas or similar experiences?

I've flown a KX125 in my RV-6 for several years and readability of the display has been excellent under all lighting conditions. I think you may have already identified the problem.
