I have a superior sump with AFP FI does anyone know if this will work with James RAM air System and a Vans snorkel cowl? Would I be better off to add the snorkel to a flat cowl? Am I just going in circles as usual?

Not sure what kind of intake arrangement you have, but ...
.... the James cowl works very nicely with vertical induction and FI. I have the 360 long cowl with my vertical induction IO-320 with Precision Silverhawk FI. Not sure there would be much difference with the AFP servo. The cowl comes with the FG pieces for the air filter housing and the inlet "snout" that bends the air from horizontal flow up into the servo. Send me a PM and I'll send you pics.
