Please offer your opinion or facts regarding is dynafocal better than conical mount. If so, why ? What is the difference/ merit of dynafocal 1vs. 2 . I am considering a new balanced engine and need to pick the best mount for my -3.
The conical mount surprised me by sagging a good bit more than expected in 250 hours. For some reason, the D1 engine hasn't sagged nearly as much.

FWIW, my conical did the opposite regarding sag. I allowed for a lot of sag and I got no sag after 200 hours. I ended up shimming a little bit to take out my allowance for the sag that didn't happen.
I have read that hanging the engine on the Dynafocal can be a PITA due to the angled bolts. For the conical, piece of cake.
I really don't notice my engine being abnormally or uncomfortably rough. I'm sure the Dynafocal is better however. Why would they go through all the trouble to design it? But, I have ridden in RVs with the Dynafocal and of course mine and frankly I just don't recall a big difference. Maybe it's due to the excessive cushioned seat I carry around with me!
