I realize this is a longshot but here goes: I am student pilot and aspiring RV builder that has been lurking on the forums (and paying dues) ever since I had the chance to ride into OSH two years ago with a friend in his RV-6 (even got see see Van ride in in the RV-1 and see the unveiling of the RV-14). I only have a few days off but am hoping to get back to OSH this year. I could make the 6-hr drive from Des Moines but it would be a lot more fun to fly. I was wondering if anyone will be flying out of or passing through Iowa the afternoon of Wed, Aug 30th and coming back Friday, Aug 1st. Unfortunately, I need to back back Sat am (not like I would fly in bad weather NEED to be back but it would be inconvenient).
I would drive several hours to meet anywhere and would gladly share any expenses. Like I said, probably a long shot but it can't hurt to inquire. Thank you.
