IO-360 A1A mount type?

Are you positive??

[
same engine I have and yes d2

Ryan,
My recollection is that engines used in single engine applications use the Dynafocal I [30 degrees] mount. Dynafocal II [18 degrees] is only used on twins. I know that the IO-360-A1A is used in single engine applications.
I just checked SSP 108, but got no clear info there. However, on page 36 [38th page on PDF versions], it shows that this engine is used in the Mooney M20-E & F. These are single engine applications.
I looked in FAA TCDS 1E10 R22 but did not see the mount style listed [am I blind?]
It seems odd to me that such a popular engine would not be Dynafocal I.

O360 A1A is a Dynafocal I. Dynafocal I mounts intersect at about the starter pad.
Dynafocal II mounts intersect at about 3 inches in front of the flywheel.

Alright, Russ and Ryan... fight to the death.

Looks like I'll wait to get my hands on the books.

dynofocal one for sure!!!
Good Luck,
Mahlon
