Came across a discussion about an inverted fuel tank setup in an RV4 that has raised questions.

So wondering about the flapper doors created to keep fuel from moving to the outboard part of the wings on this RV4. Since the RV14 is aerobatic why is a setup like this not used in this version. Or is this not normally done in RVs?
