Ignition Jumper for impulse Mag?

The instructions for the ACS Ignition switch indicate to install a jumper on the #1 terminal when "left mag is retard breaker mag or has impulse coupling"

My engine has dual impulse magnetos (both). Is this jumper (or some other configuration) required?

The jumper disables the right mag when in the start position. With two impulse mags you remove the jumper so both fire during start.
