IC-A210 GPS Function

Hello all. New to this group.

Hopefully some knowledge is hiding in here.

Has anyone successully intergrated a Garmin 296 GPS to an A210? What wires need to be hooked up? What settings need to be inserted into the comm of the GPS? How do you send the info from the GPS to the A210?

Any Help would be of great assistance.

With my GPS496 the blue and yellow wires from the 496 cable go to the lower left most ports as you look into the Molex connector - ports 1 & 2 I believe. I'll get the details when I'm back at home.

If you are still looking this is from the Icom IC-A210 GPS Connections document.

Wires from the GPS cable.

Red - Power to Icom Pin 14 or Pin R of the Molex connector
Black - Ground to Icom Pin 15 or Pin S
Blue - Data Out to Icom Pin 2
Yellow - Data In to Icom Pin 1

The other wires are not used.
