Hysol EA 9360

I need to bond my canopy to the canopy frame and the kit mfg. recommends Hysol EA9360. I’m assuming from the lack of Hysol EA 9360 hits on Google that this product has been acquired by Locktite.

Can anybody confirm Locktite 9360 AERO is the same product as Hysol EA 9360?

You could contact their customer service or sales support and ask.

Also note that 3M's 2216 B/A works fine for acrylic and fiberglass, and their data sheet even includes a simple preparation process. I used this on my RV-3B canopy.

See the signature line. OP appears to be bonding plexiglass into a Showplanes canopy frame. Not an application for Sika.

Alternative Product

Alternatively, you can you Hysol (Loctite) EA9430. It's lower cost than 9360. Bryan at Showplanes told me he switched to this and just as effective.

So that aside, what makes that combination un-Sika worthy?

Thanks for all the info fellas, 9360 isn’t cheap but I don’t want to have to bond this canopy again so I’ll use the recommended stuff.
