Hurricane Debby in Savannah - Day 1

My house is about 11 SE of the big airport at Savannah, GA.

So far today, we've had about 5" of rain here, and two tornado warnings. In each of those, radar showed rotation but to be a genuine tornado, a funnel cloud has to hit the ground. One of those rotations was in the immediate vicinity of my house. Fortunately, no tornadoes. Yet. And hurricane tornadoes are generally much weaker and short lived than Midwest thunderstorm tornadoes. The tornado watch continues another few hours, and we may get another 10" of rain in the next two days. Some of the streets in Savannah that are prone to flooding are closed already, and the whole city is closed tomorrow, including urgent care locations.

I got back from Oshkosh just in time...

There's undoubtedly RVers in Florida in a lots worse way.
